Who’s Hot: Tyler Henderson

Tyler Henderson was selected as Vicksburg High’s male athlete of the year at the school’s athletic awards banquet. Henderson played football, basketball and track and field, and has signed with Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College to play football.

In football, Henderson played wide receiver and caught 32 passes for 852 yards and 12 touchdowns, He played in the Bernard Blackwell Mississippi All-Star Game and, in his career, caught 23 career touchdown passes and ranks second in school history with 1,838 receiving yards.

In basketball, Henderson averaged 12.9 points and 7.3 rebounds per game and led the Gators to the MHSAA Region 2-6A championship.

In track, he finished second in Class 6A in both the 100 meters and triple jump. Henderson won the Class 5A triple jump state title in 2023.
