John Burnworth, 71 of Southaven, passed away Friday, May 24. John dedicated 31 years of his career to the Army Corps of Engineers in Vicksburg.

He had a passion for good food, jigsaw puzzles, TV shows and model trains. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

John is preceded in death by his brother, Michael; his parents, Corwin and Lucille; and his beloved wife, Lynne.

He is survived by his son, Barrett Burnworth and daughter-in-law, Maggie Burnworth, along with his cherished grandchildren, Grace, James and Charlotte.

He is also survived by his two sisters, Diana Post and Lori Allen.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 8, at Greencrest Gardens, 585 Hwy 12 W, in Belzoni, at 10:30 a.m.
