One man is in custody and two women are being treated for injuries sustained during a shooting in the 2500 block of  Drummond Street Sunday morning.

According to Vicksburg Chief of Police Penny Jones, the two women were transported to a local hospital after being shot by the male suspect early Sunday morning during a domestic dispute.

Jones said the suspect was taken into custody following a brief pursuit, adding more information will be released Monday following his initial court appearance.

The case remains open, pending further investigation.
