JAMES WALTER LYNCHARD JR.

GREENVILLE James Walter Lynchard Jr. died Tuesday, July 31, 2001, at University Mississippi medical Center in Jackson. He was 37.

Born in Humphreys County, Mr. Lynchard was a lifelong resident of Greenville. He graduated from St. Joseph’s High School in 1982 and from Mississippi State University in 1998.

He is survived by his wife, Brigitte Jo Greer Lynchard of Greenville; four daughters, Tiffany Annette Lynchard, Dolly Jo Lynchard, Mari-Margaret Olivia Lynchard and Kimberly Danielle Lynchard, all of Vicksburg; his parents, James and Bettye Lynchard of Vicksburg; two sisters, Tammy Dobbs of Petal and Melissa Davis of Vicksburg; his brother, Taylor Greer of Vicksburg; and other relatives.

Services were at 2 p.m. Thursday at Mortimer Funeral Home in Greenville with the Revs. Bobby Greer and Patrick Sturgill officiating. Burial followed at Greenville City Cemetery.

EDITH LUCILLE WILLIAMS PARKER

SAGINAW, Mich. Edith Lucille Williams Parker died Tuesday, July 31, 2001, in Saginaw, Mich. She was 62.

A former resident of Vicksburg, Mrs. Parker was a 1959 graduate of Rosa A. Temple High School.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Parker Sr.; her father, Eddie Williams Sr.; five brothers, Willie L. Johnson, Eddie Williams Jr., John A. Williams, Alandress Williams and Ruben Williams Sr.; and her grandmother, Dora Prentiss Gardner.

She is survived by two daughters, Hattie E. Parker and Cynthia Parker, both of Vassar, Mich.; two sons, Bennie Parker III and Eddie Parker, both of Vassar; her mother, Lubertha Williams of Vicksburg; five sisters, Shirley J. Harrison and Hazel L. Williams, both of Jackson, Hattie P. Strong of Vallejo, Calif., Georgiana Williams of Compton, Calif., Mary Williams Jenkins of Vicksburg; two brothers, Robert A. Williams of Los Angeles and Charles L. Williams of Vicksburg; and other relatives including the Miller, Prentiss, Gardner, Fisher, Gaskin, Turner, Erves and Watts families.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Corinthian M.B. Church in Saginaw with Roy L. Manning officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Hanlin Funeral Home in Vassar.

JAMES F. SEBREN

CLINTON James F. “Jim” Sebren died Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2001, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center. He was 82.

A native of Florence, Mr. Sebren lived in Jackson for a number of years before moving to Clinton. He was a former member and deacon of Parkway Baptist Church. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Clinton where he was a member of the senior choir. He was a volunteer at the Willowood Developmental Center. He was a retired field services supervisor with Central Soya, Jackson Branch. He received his honorary doctorate degree in poultry science from Michigan State University. He was an Army veteran of World War II, having served in France and Germany.

He is survived by his wife, Lillie T. Sebren of Clinton; four daughters, Patsy Sebren Tolleson of Florence, Peggy Sebren Wall of Brandon, Becky Sebren of Clinton and Judy Sebren Williams of Vicksburg; two sisters, Ruby Brinson and Ruth Shorter, both of Florence; six grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Jackson. Burial will follow at Lakewood Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and from 9:30 a.m. until the service Friday at the funeral home.
