Ronald E. Collins Sr.

PORT GIBSON Ronald E. Collins Sr. died Friday, Sept. 26, 2003, at River Region Medical Center. He was 57.

Mr. Collins was born in Roxie and was a resident of Vicksburg for 20 years. For the last 10 years he was a resident of Port Gibson. He was a self-employed computer technician. He also operated Collins Cainebreak Hunting Club in Claiborne County. He was a member of The New Fellowship Church in Port Gibson.

Mr. Collins will be survived by his wife, Kaye S. Collins of Port Gibson; one son, Ronald E. “Ski” Collins Jr. of Pearl; a stepdaughter, Angela Shannon Daniels of Vicksburg; a sister, Patsy McGuffee of Vicksburg; and seven grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Glenwood Funeral Home in Vicksburg with the Rev. Randy Burge of The New Fellowship Church officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Park.

Visitation will be at Glenwood Funeral Home from 11 a.m. Monday until the service.

Pallbearers will be Greg Collins, Rust Collins, Reed Collins, Bo Bradley, Jerry Lewis and Mark Daniels.

Maudie Alma Jinks

DELHI Maudie Alma Jinks died Friday, Sept. 26, 2003, at Richland Manor Nursing Home in Delhi. She was 94.

Mrs. Jinks was born in Alexandria, La., and was a longtime resident of Delhi. She was a member of Robinson Baptist Church in the Delhi community. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Jinks; her father, John H. Howard; her mother, Louetta H. Howard; and three daughters, Mary Nell Overstreet, Louise Jinks and Ollie Mae Jinks.

Mrs. Jinks is survived by four sons, Billy R. “Johnny” Jinks Sr. of Delhi, John Elvis Jinks Sr. of Delhi, Henry E. Jinks of Delhi and William B. “Billy” Jinks of Downsville, La.; four daughters, Beatrice McKibbens, Myrtle Dickson and Shirley Dickson, all of Delhi, and Judy Goodson of Fayetteville, Ark., 44 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Delhi with Rev. Clyde Piercy, pastor of Robinson Baptist Church, and Rev. Bobby White, pastor of Lamar Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Faith Memorial Cemetery in Delhi.

Visitation will be 2 to 5 today at Cox Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Justin Dickson, Andy Frost, Jonathon Nelson, Scott Jinks, Eric Jinks, John Jinks, Billy Ray Jinks Jr., Edgar Dickson and Ronald Dickson.

Lucy Lee Warner

Lucy Lee Warner died Friday, Sept. 26, 2003, at her house in Vicksburg. She was 66.

Mrs. Warner was a lifelong resident of Vicksburg. She was a housewife and a homemaker. She was a member of Unity Temple Full Gospel Church where she served on the Mother Board.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar “Bob” London and Beatrice Jones.

Mrs. Warner is survived by her husband, Henry Warner of Vicksburg; three sons, Tyrone Carter of Vicksburg, Saul Warner of Edwards, and Anderson Warner of Baton Rouge; six daughters, Minnie Hicks, Ester Warner, Rosemary Warner and Daisy Higgins, all of Vicksburg, and Lucy Gaskew and Cathleen Washington, both of Edwards; eight sisters, Joann Parks, Mary Williams, Gloria Kline, Molly Tubwell, Sarah Brown, Brenda Wilson, Beverly Hunter and Cynthia Johnson, all of Vicksburg; six brothers, Tommy London, Eddie London, Edgar London Jr., Raymond London and Michael London, all of Vicksburg, and Ceotha London of Chicago; 32 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.

Robbins Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
