PEARL — Ross Valentine died Friday, April 8, 2011, at his home. He was 61.

Mr. Valentine was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Valentine; his parents, Henry Hillary Valentine and Naomi Washington Valentine; two brothers, James Valentine and Freddy Valentine; and three sisters, Cora Smith, Martha Wesley and Mary Gray.

Survivors include his son, Ross Valentine Jr. of Memphis; a brother, Henry Valentine of Buffalo, N.Y.; four sisters, Naomi Patterson and Theresa Bailey, both of San Diego, and Eugenia Murphy and Catherine Brooks, both of Vicksburg; and nieces, nephews, cousins and others.
