A Newton County man was killed Wednesday when he was struck by a car as he attempted to cross East Clay Street near its intersection with U.S. 80.
Warren County Coroner Doug Huskey said Bobby Dickerson, 68, of Conehatta was pronounced dead at 10:51  p.m. at the scene of the crash. Huskey said an autopsy will be performed at the Mississippi State Crime Lab in Jackson.

He said no charges have been filed, and the accident remained under investigation.
