Warren Central 7, Petal 0

Hunt Holdiness scored two goals, Sean Dixon had a goal and an assist, and Warren Central beat Petal 7-0 Saturday at the Northwest Rankin soccer tournament in Flowood.

Jack Richardson, Elliott Stockett and Josh Griffen also scored goals for the Vikings (5-2), while Nathan Madsen, Theodor Stang and Chase Graham all had one assist. John W. Madison had two assists.

The win salvaged a tough weekend for the Vikings. They came into the tournament undefeated, but lost 6-0 to Northwest Rankin on Thursday and 3-0 to Tupelo on Friday night before winning big against Petal.
