Multiple people were detained Saturday in connection with two reported armed robberies in Vicksburg during the early morning hours of Saturday.

At 4 a.m. Saturday, a man reported his vehicle stalled on U.S. Highway 61 South and another vehicle, he thought was offering help, stopped and he was robbed of money at gunpoint, Vicksburg police Capt. Sandra Williams said.

Shortly after this incident, she said a second armed robbery was reported at the Ramada Inn on Orme Drive.

“A number of individuals have been detained,” Williams said. “The investigation is ongoing.”

She said no one was injured.
