William “Bill” Merritt passed away May 13, 2020, at the age of 67. Bill was a resident of Vicksburg.

He is survived by his wife, Tamera Merritt; six children, Josef Merritt, Aimee Chiemprabha, Shane Merritt, Karl Merritt, Kerri Hutson, and Brittany McCormick; siblings: Mikki Merritt, Elaine Callahan and Richard Merritt; and 19 grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Crystal Merritt; and sisters Sheila Boleware, Sherrie Peppers and Linda Sheffield.

Bill was an employee at Holiday Ice and Ergon Refinery before his retirement in 2014.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
