Woman held for credit card fraud

A Vicksburg woman accused of improperly using a credit card was held without bail this morning.

Chardaja Adams, 19, 202 Drucilla Lane, was arrested Thursday and charged with credit card fraud, Vicksburg police Sgt. Randy Blake said.

Adams was held without bail this morning in the Warren County Jail.

Additional fake bills found at casinos

Four counterfeit $100 bills were recovered at a Vicksburg casino Thursday, brining the total to discovered this week to 20.

At 6:08 a.m. Thursday, four counterfeit $100 bills were reported at Riverwalk Casino, 1046 Warrenton Road, Vicksburg police Sgt. Randy Blake said. Two of the bills had the same serial number, he said.

On Wednesday, police recovered five counterfeit $100 bills from DiamondJacks Casino, 3990 Washington St., and 11 counterfeit bills at Ameristar Casino, 4116 Washington St., Blake said.

 

More items missing from storage

More items were missing this morning as two more storage units were reported broken into Thursday.

Ten units have been reported burglarized this week at two Vicksburg businesses.

At 8:58 a.m. Thursday, a tent valued at $100, a furniture dolly valued at $50 and a large cooking pot valued at $100 were among the items report missing from two storage units at Indiana Self Storage, 3040 Indiana Ave., Vicksburg police Sgt. Randy Blake said.

On Wednesday two break-ins were reported at Indiana Avenue Self Storage, and Tuesday, six units were reported broken into at the Indiana Avenue business and at Wisconsin Avenue Mini-Storage.

 

Air conditioners stolen

Three air conditioners were missing this morning from a rental home on Adams Street.

At 6:36 p.m., a tenant who was moving into a home in the 300 block of Adams Street reported that a Kenmore air conditioner valued at $480 and two other air conditioners valued at $150 each were missing, Vicksburg police Sgt. Randy Blake said.
