Ryan Weber allowed three hits and a walk in eight innings, Seth Loman went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two runs scored, and the Mississippi Braves clinched their second series victory of the second half with a 5-1 win over Huntsville on Wednesday night.

Kyle Kubitza went 3-for-4 with two doubles and three RBIs for the M-Braves, who scored four times in the fourth inning to take the lead for good. Kubitza’s two-run triple keyed the big inning, and he later scored on Daniel Castro’s RBI single.

The M-Braves have won three of the first four games in the series, and two of their first three series in the second half of the Southern League season.

The M-Braves and Stars finish their series tonight at 7 at Trustmark Park. Mississippi will then hit the road to face Montgomery in a series starting Friday night.
