LORMAN — Floyd Aikerson died Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at Claiborne County Medical Center. He was 78.

He was the son of the late George and Willie Mae Cadney-Aikerson and a supervisor at Alcorn State University. He was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Kelvin Shelton of Lorman and Rodney Shelton of Pattison; a daughter, Shelia Boardingham of Cooper Cove, Texas; two stepsons, Keith Shelton of Vicksburg and Albert Shelton of Hermanville; a stepdaughter, Debra Sanders of Huntsville, Ala.; three brothers, George Aikerson Jr. of Crystal Springs, Anderson Aikerson of Bessemer, Ala., and Marvin Aikerson of Atlanta; one sister, Beatrice Ruffin of Vicksburg; one uncle; an aunt; a special companion; and other relatives and friends.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 23, 2016, at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Lorman with the Rev. Hough Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Carbondale Cemetery under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home of Port Gibson.

Visitation will be Friday from noon to 4:40 p.m. at the funeral home.
