Boyter, Sluis to exchange vows Aug. 6

Dr. Russell Boyter and Mrs. Heather Collins of Murfreesboro Tenn., announce the engagement of their daughter, Gracie Lynn Boyter, to Daniel Hunter Sluis, the son of Dr. and Mrs. Gordon Wayne Sluis of Vicksburg.

Miss Boyter is the granddaughter of Mrs. Dona Rae Boyter and the late Mr. James Boyter, Sr. of Austin, Ky. and Mrs. Linda Covington and the late Mr. James Covington, Sr. of Snellville, Ga.

Mr. Sluis is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hunter George of Vicksburg and
the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Sluis of Wyckoff, N.J.

The bride-elect is 2012 graduate of Oakland High School, where she was a member of the National Honor Society, National Art Honors Society and swim team. She is a 2016 graduate of Covenant College on Lookout Mountain, Ga., where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.

The groom-elect is a 2012 graduate of Vicksburg High School, where he was a member of the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, Key Club and varsity soccer team. He is a 2016 graduate of Covenant College on Lookout Mountain, Ga., where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and a minor in Elementary Education.

Mr. Sluis is employed as outreach director at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Fayetteville, Ga.

The wedding will be at 5 p.m. EST Aug. 6, 2016, in Lafayette, Ga., at Pigeon Mountain Crossing.

The reception will follow at Pigeon Mountain Crossing.
