Linda, also known as Katie, never had children of her own, but she found much joy in caring for her nieces and nephews and other children in her life; shopping for things to please them and taking them out for activities was a favorite pastime. She enjoyed cooking large meals for family times. Being a wife and decorating her home was something she also took great pride in. Her “child” was Baby, her Pomeranian dog, who could almost always be spotted wherever Katie was, was spoiled rotten, and often could be seen going to town for ice cream.

The family welcomes visitors at Glenwood Funeral Home, Walnut Street, Rolling Fork on Friday, July 29, from 5 to 8 p.m.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, July 30, at 10 a.m. at the Church of God of Prophecy in the community of Tallula on Mississippi Highway 1 between Mayersville and Onward. It will be officiated by Elizabeth Franklin and Daryl Cook.

Interment will follow at County Line Cemetery, Glen Allan.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Scroggins, Caleb Scroggins, Johnny Scroggins, Mark Brewster, Chris Gilley and Jacob Layrock.

They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31
