Wetland workshops

Wildlife biologists from Ducks Unlimited, the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks, and the Natural Resources Conservation Service will make presentations that will give information on waterfowl behavior and managing different types of wetlands. Some of the topics covered include waterfowl habitat, feeding habits, and the effects of weather on their populations.

The workshops will be held in Cleveland at the Bolivar County Extension Office on Nov. 7, and at the Rolling Fork Community Center on Nov. 8. The workshops will begin at 9 a.m. and last until 2 p.m. Lunch will be provided.

These wetland management workshops are open to the public and free to attend, but attendees must pre-register at lowerdelta.org/workshops or call 662-873-6261 for more information.
