Man arrested for felony DUI on Halls Ferry Road

A traffic stop for careless driving on Halls Ferry Road about 1:51 a.m. Saturday resulted in the arrest of a Vicksburg man on felony DUI charges, Vicksburg police Sgt. Johnnie Edwards said.

Anthony Demay Brown, 47, was charged with fifth-offense DUI

• Sunday, 2:38 p.m., a microwave oven, a deep fryer, lawn mower, dishes, a large suitcase and figurines were reported taken from an apartment at the Bradford Ridge Apartments, 310 Cain Ridge Road.

• Sunday, 8 a.m. a container with hunting clothing valued at $1,620 were reported taken from a 2005 Toyota Tundra parked at the Holiday Inn Express, 4330 South Frontage Road.

• Sunday, 4:13 a.m. shots fired in the vicinity of Drummond and Lee streets.

• Sunday, 1:54 p.m., 2100 Block of Clay St., lost property.

• Sunday, 4:21 p.m. 1296 South Frontage Road, Candlewood Suites, petit larceny.

• Sunday, 7:15 p.m., 3000 block of Indiana Avenue, shoplifting.

• Sunday, 11:49 a.m., 2100 block of Iowa Boulevard, petit larceny.

• Saturday, 8:59 p.m., workers at the Ameristar Casino, 4146 Washington St., reported someone passed a counterfeit $5 bill.

• Saturday, 4:50 p.m., 1900 block of Hope Street, simple assault.

• Saturday, 7:46 p.m., 400 block of Locust Street, lost property.

• Saturday, 10:26 p.m. 2100 block of Iowa Boulevard, shoplifting.

• Saturday, 3:14 p.m., 3500 Block of Pemberton Boulevard, petit larceny.

• Saturday, 2:57 p.m., Washington Street, motor vehicle collision, no injuries.

• Friday, 7:27 p.m., shots reported fired in the 3000 block of U.S. 61 South.

• Friday, 10:07 p.m. shots reported fired on Edna Street.

• Friday 8:30 a.m., a 2000 GMC Sierra pickup was reported taken from the Super 8 Hotel, 4127 I-20 Frontage Road. The truck was recovered by Hinds County sheriff’s deputies at 8:28 p.m. in Edwards.

• Friday, 8:29 a.m., 2300 block of North Frontage Road, simple assault with injury/disturbing business.

• Friday, 1:15 p.m., 2400 block Letitia Street, false reporting of a crime.

• Friday, 3:05 p.m., 4100 block of Pemberton Boulevard, petit larceny.

• Friday, 4:43 p.m., Halls Ferry Road at North Frontage Road, motor vehicle collision, no injuries.

• Thursday, 1:37 p.m., Indiana Avenue, motor vehicle collision, no injuries.
