JOSEPH R. CURRO JR.
Joseph R. Curro Jr. died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2002, at ParkView Regional Medical Center. He was 63.
Born in Greenville, Mr. Curro was reared in Arcola, Miss. He was a 1956 graduate of Arcola High School and a 1961 graduate of Mississippi State University. He retired in 1997 as a geophysicist from the Geotechnical Laboratory at Waterways Experiment Station.
He was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Sr. and Mary Curro.
Survivors include his wife, Myrtle Loviza Curro; and four sons, Joseph R. Curro III, Christopher J. Curro, Gregory S. Curro and Jerome A. Curro.
Fisher-Riles Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
ANNA BERNICE SKEEN SWITZER
BELZONI Anna Bernice Skeen Switzer died Friday, Jan. 25, 2002, at her home in Belzoni. She was 70.
Mrs. Switzer was a member of the Belzoni Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert William Switzer.
She is survived by her son, Ken Switzer of Vicksburg; her daughter, Deborah Hearn of Belzoni; two sisters, Mozelle Lewis of Oxford and Edwina Blailock of Yorkville, Tenn.; a brother, Walter Skeen of Little Rock; two granddaughters, Tammy Beauchamp and Sandy Raines, both of Vicksburg; a grandson, Joseph Switzer of Belzoni; a great-grandson, Jake Penley of Vicksburg, and a great-granddaughter, Anna Beauchamp of Vicksburg.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Card Funeral Home in Indianola. Burial will follow at Roundaway Cemetery.
