JAMES HENRY KOGER JR.

WALTERBORO, S.C. Services for James Henry Koger Jr. will be at 4 p.m. Monday at Bethel Presbyterian Church in Walterboro, S.C., with the Rev. Lawrence Peebles officiating.

Mr. Koger died Friday, April 12, 2002, at St. George Health Care Center in Walterboro. He was 83.

Mr. Koger was born in Walterboro and was a retired rural and city mail carrier. He was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church and the Walterboro Lions Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. James Henry Koger and Susie Calfee Koger.

He is survived by his wife, Laveta Cook Koger of Walterboro; three sons, William Gary Koger of Aiken, S.C., James W. Cook of Vicksburg and John R. Cook of Cape Coral, Fla.; his sister, Elizabeth Dean of Walterboro; and six grandchildren.

Fred Parker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to Vicksburg Catholic School, 1900 Grove St., in Vicksburg.

COREY JOHNSON

Corey Johnson died Friday, April 12, 2002, at Children’s Hospital in Jackson. He was 17.

Mr. Johnson was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Conell and Minnie James; and his maternal grandparents, Willie Mae Williams and Bernard Nichols.

He is survived by his mother, Shirley Nichols Bush Johnson of Vicksburg; his father, Alvin Johnson of Vicksburg; his stepfather, Tony McElroy of Vicksburg; two brothers, Cornelius Wilbert of Vicksburg and Tony Lattimore of Boston, Mass.; and three sisters, Tawanna L. Bush, Kretonia McElroy and Toniell McElroy, all of Vicksburg.

Williams Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
