CARL D. JUNEAU

BUNKIE, La. Carl D. Juneau died Monday, July 29, 2002, in Ville Platte, La. He was 53.

Mr. Juneau was part owner of C&D Concrete in Bunkie. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 22 years and served as postmaster in Bunkie for five years. He was involved in Bunkie Little League Baseball and a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church where he served as a lector.

He is survived by his wife, Cassandra Addor Juneau, formally of Vicksburg; two sons, Evan Juneau of Bunkie and Seth Juneau of Cottonport, La.; his daughter, Tracy J. Moses of Cottonport; his parents, Vernon and Myrstice Juneau of Bunkie; two brothers, Chris Juneau and Mark Juneau, both of Bunkie; four sisters, Duana Trotter of Alexandria, La., Cheryl E. Fontaineille of Groves, Texas, Verna T. Maillett of Baton Rouge and Marlene A. Juneau of Bunkie; four grandchildren; and other relatives, including Marian Ables of Harrison, Ark.

Services were July 31 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with the Rev. James Nellikunnel officiating. Burial followed at Pythian Cemetery in Bunkie under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home.

LUCIUS GEORGE HINKLE

Services for Lucius George “L” Hinkle will be at noon Thursday at Robbins Funeral Home with the Rev. Elzie O’Neal officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery

Visitation will be today and until the service Thursday at the funeral home.

Mr. Hinkle died Monday, Aug. 5, 2002, at River Region Medical Center. He was 74.

A native of Vicksburg, Mr. Hinkle worked for A.J. Martin Marble Co. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by three brothers.

He is survived his wife, Lillie Hinkle; two sons, Lucius Hinkle Jr. of Vicksburg and David Hinkle of Bolingbrook, Ill.; six daughters, Lucille Wyatt, Daisy Thomas and Ethel Hinkle, all of Maywood, Ill., Leeretha Price of Bellwood, Ill., Gennette Parker of Aurora, Ill., and Gloria Madison of Vicksburg; two sisters, Blanchie Williams and Addie B. Houston, both of Cleveland, Ohio; and 21 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and other relatives.
