CLARENCE HUBAND

Clarence Huband died Monday, Nov. 11, 2002, at River Region Medical Center. He was 87.
Mr. Huband was a resident of Vicksburg and a retired farmer.
He was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.
Survivors include a brother, Jessie Huband of Vicksburg; a niece, Mary Dotson of Vicksburg; and other relatives.
Robbins Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
MARILYN NICHOLS OMOBUDE
JACKSON Marilyn Nichols Omobude died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2002, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. She was 47.
A native of Vicksburg, Ms. Omobude lived in Jackson and was a nurse at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center. She was a graduate of North Vicksburg High School and Mississippi College and was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church in Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her father, Peter Nichols Sr.
Survivors include two daughters, Keyhanna Nichols and Megan Omobude, both of Jackson; a son, Kori Nichols of Jackson; three sisters, Thelma Lee of Petersburg, Va., Gloria Hicks of Aurora, Ill., and JoAnn Taylor of Jackson; a brother, Peter Nichols of Vicksburg; two grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
Westhaven Funeral Home in Jackson has charge of arrangements.
LOIS M. PHILLIPS
GRENADA Lois M. Phillips died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2002, at Grenada Lake Medical Center in Grenada. She was 80.
Mrs. Phillips lived in Grenada and was a former resident of Rolling Fork. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Rolling Fork and worked as a dietitian at the Sharkey-Issaquena Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Phillips; and a son, Lynn Phillips.
Survivors include a son, Gene Phillips of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; a brother, Grady Marter of Duck Hill; a sister, Rea Trussell of Batesville; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 3 today at Mound Cemetery in Rolling Fork with the Revs. Reese Kyzar and Millard L. Caulder officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 2 until the service today at the funeral home.

ANNIE MARIE KEARNS SCHAFFER
Annie Marie Kearns Schaffer died Monday, Nov. 11, 2002, in Meridian. She was 82.
Mrs. Kearns lived in Vicksburg.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edmund H. Schaffer.
Survivors include her brother, Billy Lee Kearns of Vicksburg; two nieces, Margaret K. Blackwell and Chris A. Kearns, both of Vicksburg; and other relatives.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Cedar Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Scott Reiber officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Webb Funeral Home in Meridian.
