Omah McNair

SONDHEIMER, La. Omah “Boots” McNair died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003, at her home in Sondheimer, La. She was 74.

Mrs. McNair was born in Oak Grove. She was a housewife and a member of Sondheimer Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Chester F. McNair of Sondheimer; a son, Donald R. McNair of Gretna, La.; a daughter, Brenda McNair Wilson of Sondheimer; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sondheimer Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy Castilaw officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 6 until 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Leonard Street, Jimmy Street, Jerry Street, Roger Wells, Michael Wilson and Chuck Wilson.

Lucille Templeton

UTICA Lucille Templeton died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003, at Inglewood Nursing Home in Jackson. She was 90.

Born in Hazlehurst, Mrs. Templeton had lived in Utica since 1946. She was a member of Utica Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, L.V. “Bud” Templeton; and a son, Thomas Templeton.

Survivors include a son, Billy Templeton of Jackson; two daughters, Marjorie Keyes of Jackson and Barbara McGuffee of Utica; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Utica Christian Church with the Rev. Lucian Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Utica Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at Glenwood Funeral Home in Utica.
