Then the roof came crashing in.
Clinton outscored WC 21-10 in the third quarter and held off a late WC charge to take a 60-58 win and improve to 2-0 in the tightly contested division race.
“It was like Friday night, but in reverse,” said WC coach Donny Fuller, whose team came back from a 17-point deficit to beat Natchez.
Carla Latham led WC with 13 points, while Cookie Johnson scored 12 and Ebon Williams netted 11.
