Kiwanis Noon Tuesday, Maxwell’s; speaker will be Eric Biedenharn, chairman of the Vicksburg Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Sundown Toastmasters 11 a.m. until noon Wednesday in room 103 at the Vicksburg District Corps of Engineers building, 4115 E. Clay St.; open to the public.

Lions Noon Wednesday, Maxwell’s; speaker will be Jimmy Heidel of the Chamber of Commerce.

TRIAD 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Board Room at City Hall Annex; W.L. “Bump” Callaway of Emergency Management will be the speaker.

Society of American Military Engineers Vicksburg Post; noon Thursday at Maxwell’s; Wendell Ruff of MDOT will speak on environmental leadership and context sensitive design; 631-7695 to RSVP.

Public programs

Vicksburg Senior Center Tuesday: 9-11 a.m., walking at Jackson Street Community Center; 9:30, beginner/intermediate bridge; 10:30, beginner computer class; 11:30, intermediate computer; 1 p.m., dulcimer class.

Public Library Tuesday and Wednesday: 10:30 a.m., preschool story time and a craft with Lottie Walker; Wednesday: 3:30 p.m., after school arts and crafts.

Volunteer Training 8:30 until 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in the conference room at the United Way Office, 920 South St.; for those interested in working in the Storehouse Community Food Pantry.
