Patricia Lynn Hickman

Patricia Lynn Hickman died Thursday, Jan. 23, 2003, at her residence. She was 49.

Mrs. Hickman was a native of Vicksburg and grew up in Utica. She formerly worked as a legal secretary and receptionist and was attending Hinds Community College.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar Bernie and Emma Elizabeth Johnson, and a daughter, Paige Douglas Logue.

She is survived by a grandson, Forrest Logue of Vicksburg; three brothers, Sonny Hickman of Vicksburg and Barry Hickman and Garry Hickman, both of Utica; two sisters, Mary Blair of Vicksburg and Vicki Hickman of Frederick, Md., and a host of nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Cedar Hill Cemetery with Dr. Chip Starnes, pastor of Bovina Baptist Church officiation.

Visitation will be from noon until the hour of the service at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Vicksburg-Warren Humane Society, P.O. Box 820171, Vicksburg, Miss. 39182.

Pallbearers will be Michael Hickman, Daniel Hickman, Barry Hickman Jr., Wes Blair, Monty Hickman, Tony Hickman, Wayne Oldenburg and Doug Crothers.

Honorary pallbearers will be Milton Blair, Ken and Betty Black, James Kisner, Barbara Hickman, Jerry McCarthy, Larry Fanning and John Palmerton.

Mary Magdelene Guice

EPPS, La. Mary Magdelene Guice died Friday, Jan. 24, 2003, at West Carroll Memorial Hospital in Oak Grove. She was 97.

Born in Ellisville, Mrs. Guice was a resident of Epps, La. She was a member of Herringville Baptist Church in Monticello.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Guice; five sons, Harry C. Guice, Hixon Guice, Cecil Guice, Jeff Guice, and Charles R. Guice; two daughters, Myrtle Duckworth and Dorothy Guice; her parents, William Carl and Ora Aslean Duckworth; and two sisters, Idella Trapp and Rosella Prine.

Survivors include two sons, Huey Guice of Epps and J.C. Guice of Pioneer; 24 grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Delhi with the Rev. Walter Cloud and Doris Alexander officiating. Burial will follow at Bayou Macon Cemetery in Darnell, La.

Visistation will be from 3 until 9 tonight at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Billy Guice, Brian Guice, Ken McGrew, Charles Clack, Mark Duckworth and Mike Duckworth.

Myra Conn Mcgee

Myra Conn Mcgee died Thursday, Jan. 23, 2003, at Trace Haven Nursing Home. She was 91.

Mrs. Mcgee was a resident of Vicksburg and a member of Sardis Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, James Mcgee of Vicksburg; a brother, Bill Conn of Sun City, Calif.; three sisters, Ann Mae Pell of Pascagoula, Elmer Hutchinson of Hazlehurst, and Lorene Phillips of Corinth; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Services will be at 3:30 p.m. today at Stringer Funeral Home in Hazlehurst. Burial will follow at Sardis Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1:30 until the service at the funeral home.

Patricia Lynn Rabb

Patricia Lynn Rabb died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2003, at Vicksburg Convalescent Home. She was 32.

A resident of Vicksburg, Ms. Rabb was of the Baptist faith and a former sales clerk.

Survivors include two daughters, Mellisa Delaney and Destney Smith; three sons, Hunter Lee Smith, Jounery Smith and Harlie Wheeler; her mother, Deborah Pilgrim of Natchez; a brother, William Oxley of Natchez; a sister, Margaret Cloy of Roxie, Miss.; a stepsister, Peggy Sue Pierce of Oklahoma City, Okla.; a stepbrother, Wayne Pierce of Eugo, Okla.; her stepfather, Thomas Stevens of Natchez; and other family and friends.

Services were at 11 a.m. Friday at Bougere Baptist Church in Bougere, La., with the Rev. C.D. Beard officiating. Burial followed at Bourgere Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home of Ferriday, La.

Pallbearers were friends of the family.
