[4/1/03]Andrew Embry went 3-for-5 with a pair of three-run home runs and six RBIs, and Gerald Mims, Chip Lofton, and Aaron Curry each had two hits as Porters Chapel beat Huntington 13-2 on Monday.
Josh Rush also went 3-for-5, and Joseph Ivey (4-0) struck out eight and pitched out of several jams to get a complete-game win.
Huntington left 12 men on base, including at least two runners in every inning between the second and the fifth. PCA turned two double plays to end threats.
“He did a real good job of pitching out of some trouble,” PCA coach Randy Wright said of Ivey, who scattered five hits and walked six.
PCA (14-2) will play at Sharkey-Issaquena tonight at 6 in Rolling Fork.
