Vicksburg Coke Racers finish fifth in State Games

[7/16/03]The Vicksburg Coke Racers placed fifth in the State Games of Mississippi – Meridian Invitational swim meet over the weekend. The boys team placed fourth, and the girls placed sixth.

Alexandra Fischenich placed second in the 100-meter freestyle, 50 breaststroke and 50 backstroke; and third in the 50 butterfly and 50 freestyle.

In the senior boys group, Bern Ebersole won the 200 back and 400 IM. He also placed second in the 200 individual medley, 400 free, 100 and 200 breast; and third in the 100 back and 800 free. Alan Ebersole won the 100 and 200 breast and 200 IM. He placed second in the 50 and 100 free, and third in the 200 free.

In senior relays, the boys 200 medley team of Jacob Fischenich and Alan, Bern and Jase Ebersole placed second. The boys 200 free team of Dylan Holcom and the three Ebersoles finished third.

In the 13-and-14 boys division, Jase Ebersole placed second in the 400 free, 100 and 200 back; and third in the 100 fly, 100 free and 200 IM. Jacob Fischenich finished second in the 400 IM.

Susannah Burrell placed third in the 50 back in the 8-and-under girls division.

In 13-and-14 girls, Kristine Fischenich finished third in the 50 free.
