Camille Ross Buchignani

PORT GIBSON Camille Ross Buchignani died Saturday, Oct. 11, 2003, at River Region Medical Center. She was 93.

Mrs. Buchignani was born in Lauderdale County and lived for a number of years in Port Gibson. She was a homemaker and member of St. James Episcopal Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Sidney Johnston Ross and Mary Sable Salee; and her husband, Edward Buchignani.

She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews.

Services were at 1 p.m. Monday at Wintergreen Cemetery in Port Gibson. Burial followed under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home.

Hermine Jennings Ford

BILOXI Hermine Jennings Ford died Sunday, Oct. 12, 2003, at Biloxi Regional Medical Center. She was 88.

Born in Shuqualak, Mrs. Ford was a resident of Biloxi. She received degrees from Hinds Community College and the University of Southern Mississippi. She was a school teacher for 30 years and retired from Biloxi Public School System. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma and First Baptist Church of Biloxi.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Kathleen Jennings; her husband, James Thomas Ford; two sons; and a sister, Helen Lawrence.

Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Stinson of Vancleave and Gloria Sims of Vicksburg; one brother, Major Jones Jennings of Corona, Calif.; and three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Fellowship Cemetery in Taylorsville.

Visitation will be from 9 until 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue Chapel, in Biloxi.

Winona Inez Bell Gilfoil

LAKE PROVIDENCE Winona Inez Bell Gilfoil died Monday, Oct. 13, 2003, at Carroll Nursing Home in Oak Grove. She was 78.

Mrs. Gilfoil was born in Ringgold, La., and was a longtime resident of Lake Providence.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ferman Elisha Bell and Katie Maude Bell, and a grandson, Caleb Ryan Kellum.

She is survived by a son, Charles Kellum of Jackson, Miss.; a brother, Raymond Bell of Lake Providence; one grandson, Mason Kellum of Jackson; one great-grandchild; and nieces and a nephew.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Providence Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Don Boyett officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Lake Providence.

Pallbearers will be Macon Kellum, John Herrington, Keith Bell, John Michael Herrington, Albert Choat and Robert Amacker Jr.

Henry Johnson Jr.

Henry “Buck” Johnson Jr. died Saturday, Oct. 11, 2003, in Nashville. He was 59.

Mr. Johnson was a resident of Cleveland, Ohio, where he was a member of New Bethlehem Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gladys Johnson and Henry Johnson Sr., and a sister, Connie Johnson.

Survivors include his wife, Joan Roberts Johnson of Cleveland; two sons, Christopher Johnson of Cleveland and Larry Johnson of Rolling Fork; two daughters, LaWanda Johnson and Cherylle Johnson, both of Cleveland; three brothers, Linwood Johnson and Danny Johnson, both of Nashville, and Charles V. Johnson of Texas; four sisters, Linda James and Henrene Johnson, both of Nashville, Essie Edwards of Vicksburg and Gladys Johnson of Atlanta; one grandchild; and other relatives and friends.
