Robert Henry Burns
Services for Robert Henry Burns will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Williams Funeral Service. Burial will follow at Little Zion Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Burns died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2003, at Vicksburg Convalescent Home. He was 79.
A resident of Vicksburg, Mr. Burns was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by a son, Clyde Smith; and his parents, Mattie Wilmore and Jeff Burns Jr.
Survivors include five brothers, Lee Manual Burns of Vicksburg, Lee Cane Burns of Buffalo, N.Y., Frank Burns and George Burns, both of Chicago, and Charles Burns of Aurora, Ill.; a sister, Dorothy Tatum of Dolton, Ill.; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
Cloatea Floyd Charlton
LOS ANGELES Cloatea Floyd Charlton died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2003, at Xavier Permenante Hospital in Los Angeles. She was 74.
Born in Edwards, Mrs. Charlton was the daughter of the late Robert Floyd and Lucille Jackson Floyd. She attended Belmont Grade School and Belmont M.B. Church in Utica.
She graduated in 1948 from Southern Christian Institute and moved to Los Angeles.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alonzo Charlton Jr.; three brothers, Robert Andrew Floyd, Jack Floyd and R.D. Floyd; and a daughter, Barbara Ann Charlton.
Survivors include eight sisters, Odell Floyd of Edwards, Glen Ander Ross of Utica, Trinell Newton and Mildred Burks, both of Vicksburg, Jearlean Franklin and Adeal Smith, both of Chicago, Patsy Ruth Ford of Los Angeles and Berdisteen Beasley of Park Forest, Ill.; five grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Angelus Funeral Home in Los Angeles with the Rev. Perry J. Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Inglewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon until 9 tonight at the funeral home.
Harry William Hude Sr.
Harry William Hude Sr. died Monday, Dec. 29, 2003, at Arlington Memorial Hospital in Arlington, Texas. He was 81.
Mr. Hude was born in Vicksburg to John and Edna Tucker Hude. A 1941 graduate of St. Aloysius High School, he participated in the football program. He graduated from George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and served in the Air Force in World War II.
He retired as accountant-internal auditor from the Ling Tempco Vought Corp. He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Rosemary Koestler Hude of Arlington; a daughter, Cindy H. McKay Carpenter of Mansfield, Texas; two sons, Harry W. Hude II of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Charles Koestler Hude of Vancouver, Wash.; a brother, Halvor Hude of Memphis; and nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be said at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Catholic Church with the Rev. Patrick Farrell, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday at Riles Funeral Home.

Marie H. Logan
Marie H. Logan died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2003, at River Region Medical Center. She was 81.
The daughter of the late James Calvin and Laura Ritchie Huggins, Mrs. Logan was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Casey Logan; a daughter, Mary Frances Logan; and a brother, Billy Huggins.
She is survived by a daughter, Dot Everett of Vicksburg; two sons, Truman Logan and Charlie Logan; five grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Riles Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Green Acres Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Friday until the service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Ray Logan, Keith Ehrhardt, Bevan Smith, Ben Logan, P.C. Cummins and Sid Leist.

Grace Y. Nerren
ISOLA, Miss. Grace Y. Nerren died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2003, at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. She was 76.
A resident of Isola, Miss., Mrs. Nerren was a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Belzoni, Miss.
Survivors include her husband, Edward L. Nerron Sr. of Isola; a daughter, Kay Holman of Vicksburg; a son, Ed Nerren Jr. of Isola; two sisters, Frances Nerren of Ridgeland, Miss., and Mary Woods of Mer Rouge, La.; five brothers, B.O. Younger of Springhill, Fla., William Younger of Montgomery, Ala., and Tom Younger, Charles Younger and Harold Younger, all of Huntsville, Ala.; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Mortimer Funeral Home in Belzoni with the Rev. George Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Greencrest Gardens.
Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in Belzoni or to the American Heart Association.
Barbara Ann Rios
LAKE PROVIDENCE Barbara Ann Rios died Wenesday, Dec. 31, 2003, at her home in Lake Providence. She was 70.
She was preceded in death by a son, David Rios; and her parents, Sam and Ruth Bass.
Survivors include her husband, Augustine Rios of Lake Providence; four daughters, Theresa Chaput of Millbrook, Ala., Cynthia Hicks and Clydonnia Rios, both of Lake Providence and Anita Rios of Epps, La.; a son, James Rios of Lake Providence; two brothers, Pete Bass of Shreveport, La., and John David Welborne of Lafayette, La.; a sister, Juanita Shoemaker of Lake Providence; 19 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Cox Funeral Home in Lake Providence under the direction of the Rev. V.L. Dickson. Burial will follow at Providence Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 9 tonight and from 9 a.m. until the service Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Edward Toney Jr., James Toney, Matthew Stakes Jr., Robert Stakes, Randy Rios and Phillip Rios.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Stapleton and Charles Moody.
