John McHan with McHan Cabinets works to dislodge a window sash on the second floor of the Old Court House Museum-Eva. W. Davis Memorial Monday. Museum Curator Gordon Cotton said two window sashes on the south side of the museum will be replaced because of rotting and the potential danger to customers. McHan said the 10.5-by-3.5-foot window frames will be built with hard cypress if possible, similar to the type of wood that would have been used in 1858 when the structure was built on Cherry Street. The 1858 building is also in the process of getting a new roof, and other repairs are being made to the outside. Those repairs are expected to be completed this year.
