Gloria P. Bonelli

Gloria P. Bonelli died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2004, at River Region Medical Center. She was 80.

Born in Vicksburg, Mrs. Bonelli was the daughter of the late W.C. and Eunice Lea Porter. She was a tour guide for Cedar Grove Mansion and McRaven tour home. She was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by a son, Randy Harrel.

Survivors include a daughter, Theresa L. Moore of Vicksburg; three grandchildren, Niki Little, Charlene Flowers and Kenneth Daniel Warner, all of Vicksburg; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be at noon Saturday at Cedar Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Kent Campbell, pastor of Woodlawn Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Riles Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Saturday until the service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Leyland French, Leonard Fuller, Randy Vessell, Paul Worthington, Howard Haney and Jimmy Moore.

Honorary pallbearers will be Pat Hearn, David Conerly and Mark Conerly.

Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.

Ethel Mae Boothe

TALLULAH Ethel Mae Boothe died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2004, at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe. She was 67.

Born in Forest, La., Mrs. Boothe had lived in Tallulah for 24 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was employed as a waitress.

Survivors include three sons, Allan Boothe of American Fork, Utah, and Terry Boothe and Alex Boothe, both of Newark, Del.; a daughter, Tawnya Smith of Vicksburg; a brother, Ernest Williams Jr. of Tallulah; three sisters, Etta Fae Endsley of Texarkana, Texas, Irma Jean Davis of Brazoria, Texas, and Elizabeth Grace of Baty, Texas; and 11 grandchildren.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Tallulah with the Rev. John Rushing officiating. Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Bird Elise Hunt

Services for Bird Elise “Beesey” Hunt will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Steve Bryant, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Riles Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. Saturday until the service in Ward Hall at the church.

Mrs. Hunt died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2004, at Heritage House Nursing Home. She was 93.

Born in Warren County, Mrs. Hunt was the daughter of the late Edgar T. and Rebecca Elizabeth McCraine Birdsong. She was a former agent with Life & Casualty Insurance Co. and was dietitian at Grove Street School for a number of years.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Allein Bible class and Dorcas Circle.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hunt was preceded in death by her husband, W.C. “Bill” Hunt; a sister, Margaret Sturgis; and two brothers, E.T. Birdsong Jr. and David Reed Birdsong.

She is survived by a daughter, Patsy H. Halford of Vicksburg; a son, the Rev. William “Bill” Hunt Jr. of Greenville, Texas; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Pallbearers will be Ken Halford Jr., Mike Halford, Matt Hunt, Billy Hunt, Edgar Birdsong III, Gene Sturgis, Johnny Stirgus and Stewart Temple.

Honorary pallbearers will be active and inactive deacons of First Presbyterian Church, members of the Allein Bible class, members of Dorcas Circle, George Cronia and Dr. Lee Giffin.

Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 1501 Cherry St., Vicksburg, MS 39180.

Irene Cadney Marshall

LORMAN Irene Cadney Marshall died Saturday, Jan. 24, 2004, at River Region Medical Center. She was 84.

A resident of Lorman, Mrs. Marshall was a member of Mount Olive M.B. Church, where she served as a Sunday school teacher and was a member of the Baptist Aid and the choir.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Marshall Sr.; her parents, Mack and Joanna Cadney; a son, Charles Marshall; a daughter, Agnes Marshall; a brother, Matt Cadney Jr.; and four sisters, Willie Mae Aikerson, Beneva Allen, Bertha Gross and Mattie Robinson.

Survivors include a son, Eddie Marshall Jr. of Lorman; three daughters, Rose Lee Farmer of Port Gibson, Clarice Black of Lorman and Dietra Marshall of Elgin, Ill.; two brothers, Sam Cadney Sr. and Leandrew Cadney, both of Lorman; two sisters, Frances Withers of Kansas City, Mo., and Matile Clark of Buffalo, N.Y.; 19 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Mount Olive M.B. Church in Lorman with the Rev. Elijah Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Carbondale Cemetery under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home Inc. in Port Gibson.

Visitation will be from 1 until 6 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home and from 1 until the service Sunday at the church.
