John Rodgers Robbins

Memorial services for John Rodgers Robbins will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Edwards United Methodist Church.
Mr. Robbins died Sunday, Feb. 29, 2004, at his home. He was 86.
Born in Brandon, Mr. Robbins was a resident of Vicksburg. He was a graduate of Utica High School and had attended Hinds Junior College. He was an Army veteran, having served during World War II.
A retired pilot, Mr. Robbins had worked for Rogers Geophysical Exploration in Houston, Texas, Kenya and Somalia. He was a member of Edwards United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wives, Mary Katherine Roesch and Virginia Sterret; his parents, Edwin David and Laura Rodgers Robbins; two brothers, Clark Edwin Robbins and Cecil Frank Robbins; and two sisters, Ruth Robbins Roberts and Anna Robbins Ragan.
Survivors include a son, John Rodgers Robbins Jr. of Monroe; a stepdaughter, Cathy Rawdon of Albuquerque, N.M.; a stepson, Greg Sterret of El Paso, Texas; and other relatives, including Jo Ruth McClain of Edwards, Marianna Field of Vicksburg and Sue McKnight of Jackson.

Mark Seepe Funeral Directors and Crematorium in Jackson has charge of arrangements.
Gertrude A. Scott
Services for Gertrude A. Scott will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Greater Mount Zion M.B. Church with the Rev. Edmond Gibbs officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Saturday until the service at the church.
Mrs. Scott died Monday, March 8, 2004, at Vicksburg Trace Haven. She was 87.
A resident of Vicksburg, Mrs. Scott was retired from Enterprise Plumbing. She was a member of Greater Mount Zion M.B. Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert Scott; two brothers, Eddie Johnson and Willie Johnson; and three sisters, Lear White, Florida Johnson and Annie Lee Bunch.
Survivors include Elijah and Ernestine Johnson, Florence Harman and nieces, nephews and cousins.
Estelle Fitzgerald Wyatt
SLIDELL, La. Estelle Fitzgerald Wyatt died Monday, March 8, 2004, at her home in Slidell, La. She was 62.
A native of Columbia, Tenn., Mrs. Wyatt owned and operated with her husband Wyatt Transfer Lines in New Orleans.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Rebecca Fitzgerald; and a grandson, Billy Bob Bryant.
Survivors include her husband, Allen William Wyatt of Slidell; a son, Martin “Wayne” Jones of Slidell; two daughters, Rebecca “Becky” Shackelford of Union, Miss., and Donna Ehle of Cumming, Ga.; two brothers, Calvin Fitzgerald and Roger Fitzgerald, both of Columbia; four sisters, Jean Ethridge of Vicksburg, Ann Stanfill and Elaine McGee, both of Columbia, and Reba Parker of Jemison, Ala.; and five grandchildren.
Services were at 11 a.m. today at Honaker Funeral Home in Slidell with the Rev. Jerry Hilbun officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
