Louvella Johnson

ATLANTA, Ga. Louvella Johnson died Saturday, Oct. 9, 2004, at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Ga. She was 68.

Born in Claiborne County, Mrs. Johnson was a resident of Atlanta. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was an environmental specialist with Taylor and Mathis Company.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Steven and Adell Johnson; and two sons, Roy Lee Johnson and Rayfield Johnson.

Survivors include a son, Daryl Minor of Honolulu, Hawaii; four daughters, Charity Johnson, Ralinda Johnson and Leslie Minor, all of Atlanta, and Michele Minor Sims of Port Gibson; 10 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Welcome Baptist Church in Port Gibson with the Rev. Johnny Hughes officiating. Burial will follow at Thompson Cemetery under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home in Port Gibson.

Visitation will be from 6 until 7 tonight at the funeral home.

Friends of the family will serve as pallbearers.

Estelle Ott Keathley

MARION Estelle Ott Keathley died Thursday, Oct. 14, 2004, at Guardian Angel Health Care in Marion. She was 89.

Born in Lauderdale County, Mrs. Keathley lived in Vicksburg for 58 years, where she was the head housekeeper at the Magnolia Motor Inn. She had been living in Marion for the past seven years. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Keathley.

Survivors include a brother, W.E. Ott of Quitman; two nephews, James Ott of Hattiesburg and Eddie Ott of Quitman; two nieces, Charia Smith of Vicksburg and Elizabeth Bennett of Olive Branch; and cousins.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Frank Lescallette officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Saturday until the service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Eric Kitchens, Samuel Bennett, Devin Tipton, William Ott and Dennis Smith.

Memorials may be made to Trinity Baptist Church.

Mamie Lou Kovac

OAK GROVE Mamie Lou Kovac died Thursday, Oct. 14, 2004, at her home in Oak Grove. She was 93.

Mrs. Kovac was a homemaker and lifelong resident of Oak Grove. She was a life member of the Green Chapel Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Kovac; a daughter, Rebecca Kovac; a grandson, George David Stevens; and her parents, John Smith and Arrie Bonner Smith.

She is survived by a son, Mike Kovac of Oak Grove; four daughters, Dorothy Stevens of Oak Grove, Gretchen Kovac of West Monroe, Georgia McFaul of Texarkana, Texas, and Connie Radovanovic of Columbus, Ind.; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Cox Funeral Home in Oak Grove with the Rev. William Moden officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.

Memorials may be made to Green Chapel Church of God or a favorite charity.

Lilly Odema Richardson

PIONEER Lilly Odema Richardson died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2004, in Monticello, La. She was 76.

Mrs. Richardson was a resident of Pioneer and a retired nurse.

She was preceded in death by her husband, R.B. “Buck” Richardson; and her parents, Albert Leon and Lillie Myers.

Survivors include three daughters, Carylon Whitfield of Picayune, Ruth Fulford of Monticello and Thelma Shoemate of Pioneer; a brother, Olen D. Myers of Jackson; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Services were at 10 a.m. today at Cox Funeral Home in Oak Grove with the Rev. Bobby Prueitt officiating. Burial followed at New Forest Cemetery in Forest, La.

Pallbearers were Hursel Tyson, Joey Collum, R.S. Patrick, Larry Clark, Travis Clark and Timmy Gary.

Ruby Lee Rollinson

BAKER, La. Ruby Lee Rollinson died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2004, at Lane Memorial Hospital in Zachary, La. She was 90.

Mrs. Rollinson was born in Braxton, Miss.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hollis Gunter Rollinson; her parents, Thomas S. Chapman and Ora Mae Sharter Chapman; a brother, Thomas A. Chapman; and a sister, Lucille Musso.

She is survived by two sons, Don Rollinson of Bonham, Texas, and Gary Rollinson of Eads, Tenn.; and two grandsons.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Oak Grove Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Howard officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Cox Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from noon until 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home in Oak Grove.
