Mary Hilton Logan Dixon
EDWARDS Mary Hilton Logan Dixon died Saturday, Nov. 13, 2004, at Central Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. She was 63.
Mrs. Dixon was born in Monroe and had lived in Edwards for the past 33 years. She was a homemaker and member of St. Mark M.B. Church, where she was in the choir.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carrie L. Griffin and David C. Hilton Sr.; her grandparents, Sally and Floyd Berry; her husbands, Willie J. Logan and Limmie Dixon; and a brother, David C. Hilton Jr.
She is survived by a daughter, Shelia Hilton-Selvy of Edwards; a son, Derrick Hilton of Utica; an adopted daughter, Millicent Adams of Clinton; her stepmother, Minnie L. Hilton of Rayville, La.; three sisters, Jessica Ross of Rayville, Veronica Dixon of Delhi and Edna Dixon of Texas City, Texas; three brothers, Eric Ross of Monroe, Will Hilton of Texas City and Jimmy Lee Hilton of Las Vegas; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and other relatives, including members of the Jones, Green, Williams and Cleveland families.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mark M.B. Church, 704 Cemetery Road in Edwards. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery.
Randle and Hayes Memorial Funeral Home in Jackson has charge of arrangements.
Ora Hodge Fisackerly
Ora Hodge Fisackerly died Monday, Nov. 15, 2004, at Shady Lawn Nursing Home. She was 97.
A native of Oxford, Mrs. Fisackerly was the daughter of the late Oliver Wylie and Addie Pearl Parham Hodge. She has been a resident of Vicksburg for the past 27 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George M. Fisackerly; a son, George Murray Fisackerly; and two sisters and a brother.
Survivors include a brother, Doug Hodge of Moon Lake; a sister, Jimmie White of Clarksdale; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and other relatives, including Carolyn Fisackerly of Vicksburg.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Fisher Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry White, pastor of Bowmar Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Lakewood South Cemetery in Jackson under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Sid Hynum, Dale McClung, Steve Lewis, Wavel Justice, Daniel Justice, Tim Fagerburg, Allen Hill and Bert Fisackerly.

Christopher Lee Hendrix
LAKE PROVIDENCE Christopher Lee “Chris” Hendrix died Monday, Nov. 15, 2004, as the result of a car accident. He was 19.
A resident of Lake Providence, Mr. Hendrix was the salutatorian for the class of 2003 at Monticello High School.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Edward D. Dinger.
Survivors include his parents, Rickey Sr. and Susanne Hendrix of Monticello; two brothers, Rickey Hendrix Jr. and Michael Hendrix, both of Monticello; two sisters, Victoria Hendrix of Monroe and Rachael Hendrix of Monticello; his grandmother, Marie Dinger of Monroe; great-grandparents, Leroy and Pat Hendrix of Lake Providence; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Monticello Southern Baptist Church with the Revs. Rocky Stephens and Ken Evans officiating. Burial will follow at Providence Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Lake Providence.
Pallbearers will be Robert Shumate, Todd McVay, Stacy Kirkland, Josh Skipper, Jamie Skipper, Andy Smith, Thomas Mize, Paul Smith, Slick Arledge and James Mobley.
Honorary pallbearer will be Thomas Layton.
Julia H. Prevost
UTICA Julia H. Prevost died today, Nov. 18, 2004, at Central Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. She was 85.
A lifelong resident of Utica, Mrs. Prevost owned and operated the Utica 3-in-1 Convenience Store for a number of years. She was a member of Utica Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne R. Prevost.
Survivors include one son, David Glasgow of Utica; two daughters, Annette Boyd and Victoria Prevost, both of Utica; a brother, Henry Herren of Utica; two sisters, Margaret Boyd of Grenada and Ann Franklin of Bastrop, La.; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Utica Christian Church with the Revs. Lucian Lee and Brad Hartzog officiating. Burial will follow at Utica Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at Glenwood Funeral Home in Utica.
Pallbearers will be Ed Wilson, Todd Wilson, Ashley Boyd, David Glasgow, Joel Glasgow and Stephen Montgomery.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Lee Giffin, Murray Griffin, Bob Lee Currie, Edward McGuffee and Dennis Carraway.
