Hunter Austin Stennett
Hunter Austin Stennett died Friday, Feb. 4, 2005, at University of Mississippi Medical Center Children’s Hospital. He was 6 years old.
Born in Vicksburg, his interests included race cars, deer camp, hunting and fishing. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church of Port Gibson.
He is survived by parents, Jarrell and Jennifer Slaughter of Vicksburg; one brother, Conner Slaughter; maternal grandparents, Tim Stennett of Vicksburg and Kathy Stennett of Centreville; paternal grandparents, Jarrell and Jeanette Slaughter of Vicksburg; and his paternal great-grandparents, W.H. and Betty Slaughter of Winnsboro, La.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Riles Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Toby Jenkins, pastor of Shiloh Baptist Church in Port Gibson, officiating. Burial will be at Green Acres Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from noon Sunday until the hour of the service.
Pallbearers will be Jason Havard, Michael Edwards, Jarrell Slaughter and Larry Hartley.

W. Russell Hanks
W. Russell “Russ” Hanks died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2005, in Vicksburg. He was 50.
Mr. Hanks was a resident of Memphis. He was an electrical engineer for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
He is survived by his father and stepmother, Joseph Allan and Helen G. Hanks of Memphis; three brothers, John Allan Hanks and Jody Hanks of Memphis and Jimmy Hanks of Olive Branch; and a stepbrother, Nick French of Santa Fe.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Munford Funeral Home in Munford, Tenn. Burial will follow at Helen Crigger Cemetery in Munford.
Memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
