Vicksburg High football player Marcus Stokes and track and field standout Erica Woodson were honored Tuesday night as the school’s boy and girl athlete of the year.

Stokes played on the defensive line and was a standout powerlifter as well.

Woodson played on the VHS softball team and is one of the top sprinters in the state. She is a member of the Missy Gators’ relay teams that will be competing in Saturday’s Class 5A state meet.
