Bobbie Denise Allison

PACE, Fla. – Bobbie Denise Allison, age 39, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2005, in Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Fla. She was a native of Vicksburg, Miss., and had resided in the Pace area for the past 16 years. Denise and Jimmy were married for 21 loving years.

She touched many lives and was always smiling with happiness. She loved flowers and the love of her life Jimmy and Zachary. She will always be known for her unselfish giving of herself to others, and will never be forgotten for the giving of herself to so many others.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert C. and Lillie B. Fuller, and Frank Stout.

She is survived by her husband, James (Jimmy) Allison of Pace; her son, Zackary Allison of Pace; her parents, Bobby F. and Alma Faye Stout of Vicksburg; one sister, Cathy McCaskill of Vicksburg; two brothers, Clay Stout of Brandon and Robert Stout of Vicksburg; mother-in-law, Rose C. Allison of Vicksburg; and 15 beloved nieces and nephews

Services for Denise will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Lewis Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Doug Holmes officiating in Milton. Burial will follow at Serenity Gardens with Lewis Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home chapel on Wednesday from 6 until 8 p.m.

Active pallbearers will be Mike Wright, Gary Johnson, Aaron Renda, John Stanton, Danny McLaughlin and Adam Allison.

Honorary pallbearers will be the employees of Touch of Love Day Care.

Margaret A. Harris

Services for Margaret A. Harris will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Locust Grove M.B. Church with the Rev. Robert L. Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Locust Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 until 7 tonight at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Harris died Thursday, May 26, 2005, at River Region Medical Center. She was 57.

Mrs. Harris was a certified nurse’s aide at Shady Lawn Nursing Home. She was a member of Locust Grove M.B. Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Don Banks Sr. and Martha Lee Brown Banks; her maternal grandparents, Indiana Paulding Brown and Joe Brown Sr.; and her paternal grandparents, Rosetta Clark Banks and Allen Banks.

She is survived by two sons, Francis C. Harris Jr. and Eddie Harris, both of Vicksburg; two daughters, Angela Hunter and Deborah Harris, both of Vicksburg; seven brothers, Eddie Brown Sr., Don Banks Jr., Henry Banks, Frederick Banks, Paul Banks Sr., Ray Banks Sr. and Wallace Banks Sr., all of Vicksburg; a sister, Donzie Lee Harris of Vicksburg; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and nieces and nephews.

Mary Louise Vallas

BIRMINGHAM, Al. – Mary Louise Vallas died Saturday, May 28, 2005, at Birmingham Carraway in Birmingham, Ala., She was 85.

Mrs. Vallas was a lifelong resident of Vicksburg and moved to Birmingham in 1988. She worked as a retail clerk in the clothing business. She was a member of St. George Orthodox Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Abraham and Ida Moses George.

Survivors include one daughter, Georgeanne Vallas Hosemann of Birmingham; two brothers, George A. George of Jackson and Phillip George of Memphis; one sister, Georgie Mae Gandre of Gonzales, Texas; one grandchild; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Cedar Hill Cemetery with the Rev. John Morris officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the hour of services at Fisher Funeral Home.
