Donna Sue Brumley

OAK GROVE – Donna Sue Brumley died Saturday, Sept. 17, 2005, at her home. She was 53.

Mrs. Brumley was preceded in death by her father, Marvin Eugene Ratcliff.

She is survived by a son, Steven Brumley of Oak Grove; a daughter, Haley Brumley of Brandon; her mother, Nellie Agnes Ratcliff; two brothers, Gene Ratcliff of Oak Grove and Jeff Ratcliff of Forest, La.; two sisters, Sandra “Sissy” Ratcliff of Oak Grove and Sherry Rodgers of Grapevine, Texas.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Cox Chapel in Oak Grove with the Rev. Mike Ray officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the funeral home until 9 tonight and before the service.

Pallbearers will be Dale Miller, Dale Prine, Roland Crymes, Ed Graham, Pat Hill and Michael Laborde.

Martha Gray

Martha Gray died Friday, Sept. 16, 2005, at River Region Medical Center. She was 91.

Mrs. Gray was born in Franklin County to the late William and Bessie Jones. She was a homemaker and a member of Siloam Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. J.B. Gray.

Mrs. Gray is survived by a son, Thomas J. Gray of Bay City, Texas; two grandsons; a granddaughter; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Franklin Funeral Home Chapel in Meadville. Burial will follow at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the hour of the service.

Malcolm Frank Huffty

MONROE – Malcolm Frank Huffty died Friday, Sept. 16, 2005, at Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe. He was 83.

He was a retired truck driver and a resident of Kilbourne, La.

Mr. Huffty was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin Frank and Mary Lettie Huffty; a sister, Doris Serio; and three brothers, Loudon, Howard and Hardoman Huffty; and extended daughter, Gail Lenard.

He is survived by a daughter, Sharon Kay Rosebaum and husband Allen of Rosenberg, Texas; a son, Gene Jine and wife Carolyn of Colorado Springs, Colo.; grandchildren, Dustin, Megan and Taylor Rosenbaum, all of Rosenberg, and Chris Jine and his wife, Voo Be, of Colorado; Jimmine Law of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three great-grandchildren, James, Meagan and Alex; the love of his life for the last 11 years who has been by his side through the good and the hard times, Lucy Burch; his extended family: children, Sandy Moore and husband Ricky of Oak Grove; Randy Burch and wife Colleen of Oak Grove; grandchildren Rick Moore and wife Megan of Oak Grove, La.; B.J. Moore of Oak Grove; Craig Stopper and wife, Amanda, of Winder, Ga.; Dusty Lenard of Winder, Ga.; Rassie Burch and Jessica Burch of Oak Grove; three brothers, Stanford Huffty and wife, Faye, of West Monroe, La.; Seth Huffty and wife Mena of Kilbourne, La.; Kent Huffty and wife Clara of Vicksburg; a special niece and nephew, Betty Jo Melton of Wilmont, Ark.; Ricky Jo Huffty of Oak Grove; and many other nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel with the Revs. Charles Pullin and Annie Mae Farmer officiating.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until the service Monday.

Gusta B. Pendergraft

Gusta B. Pendergraft died Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2005, in Atlanta. She was 102.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Pendergraft.

Mrs. Pendergraft is survived by two daughters, Amelia Pendergraft of Atlanta and Nancy Pendergraft of Austell, Ga.; a son, George Buelow of Hattiesburg; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Cedar Hill Cemetery with Fisher Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

James H. Whittaker

EDWARDS – James H. Whittaker died Friday, Sept. 16, 2005, at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson. He was 64.

Mr. Whittaker was a native of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and had lived in Edwards for more than 20 years. He was a retired truck driver with Wal-Mart.

He is survived by his wife, Jennie L. Whittaker of Edwards.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Edwards City Cemetery with Glenwood Funeral Home of Vicksburg in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Joe Van Etten, Donald Van Etten, Kenneth Reed, Clifton Reed, Lee Bruce, Kevin Bruce and Travis Frazier.
