Charles M. Cooper Jr.

ROLLING FORK – Charles M. Cooper Jr. died Wednesday, June 7, 2006, at River Region Medical Center. He was 64.

Mr. Cooper was reared in rural Sharkey County. He graduated from Anguilla High School and served in the National Guard. He worked as a carpenter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Melvin Cooper Sr. and Addie Mae Cooper.

He is survived by two sons, Charles Michael Cooper and Timothy Lee Cooper, both of Eureka Springs, Ark.; one daughter, Belinda Rose Cooper of Savannah, Ga.; three brothers, Edward Earl Cooper of Holly Bluff, Henry Allen Cooper of Rolling Fork and John Wayne Cooper of Columbia, S.C.; two sisters, Martha Lucille Poss of Columbia and Sara Rose Alexander of Cleveland, Miss.; and four grandchildren.

Services will be at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Glenwood Funeral Home in Rolling Fork with the Rev. Brad Moak officiating. Burial will follow at Golden Link Cemetery in Anguilla.

Pallbearers will be Willy Cooper, Early Cooper, Dylan Cooper, Bubba Cooper, Josh Alexander and Alan Alexander.

TALLULAH – Rita J. McGough died Thursday, June 8, 2006, at Madison Parish Hospital in Tallulah. She was 80.

Miss McGough was born in Monroe and had lived in Tallulah for seven years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Tallulah.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Duke A. and Ruby Miller McGough; and a brother, Jimmy McGough.

Survivors include four brothers, Monte McGough, Charles McGough and Frank McGough, all of Monroe, and Donald McGough of Mansfield, Texas; four sisters, Janie Lipscomb, Carol Collins and Betty Barnes, all of Monroe, and Pat Hutson of Tallulah; and nieces and nephews.

Services were at 11 a.m. today at First Baptist Church in Tallulah with the Revs. John Rushing and Charles Dupree officiating. Burial followed at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Danny Ray McGough, James Mann, Keith McGough, Eric Holloway, Richard Moore, Barry Collins, Ken Barnes and Jerry Barnes.
