Agnes Ellen White Thompson.

Agnes Ellen White Thompson died Wednesday, July 12, 2006, at River Region Medical Center. She was 64.

Mrs. Thompson was a lifelong resident of Vicksburg and was employed with McRae’s Department Store until her retirement. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Paden Thompson in 2005, and her parents, W.H. &#8220Red” and Fannie Butler White.

She is survived by her husband, Gene Thompson of Vicksburg; one son, Mike Thompson of Redwood; two daughters, Donna Thompson of Perry, Ga., and Patti Thompson of Medford, Ore.; three brothers, Robert Lee White of Delta, La., Billy White of Houston, Texas, and Bobby Gene White of Edwards; five sisters, Eillene Lowery, Lois Holdiness and Carolyn Hearn, all of Vicksburg, Irene Jones of Delta and Alice Faye Willis of Utica; six grandchildren, Christopher Thompson, Matthew Thompson, Krystal Cochran and Mary Elizabeth Thompson, all of Vicksburg, and Jessica Blakey and Amanda Renee Jones, both of Tifton, Ga.; and five great-grandchildren, Madison Blakey, Skyler Blakey, Drake Jones, Pralee Jones and Zachary Cochran.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Herman Thompson officiating.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the hour of the service.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
