Mark Culbertson did not return a message seeking comment.

Both men are accused of beating to death Jewel Duane Douglas, 36, 1831 Douglas Trail. Autopsy results showed Douglas died of head trauma.

Lincoln County Sheriff Steve Rushing said Friday the case remained under investigation.

&#8220I’m sorry I can’t provide more details, but we’re still investigating it,” he said. &#8220And we’re waiting on test results on” a possible murder weapon.

Rushing said three family members found Douglas at home around 9 p.m. Wednesday after notifying the sheriff’s department of a disturbance.

Robert Culbertson and Leggett were arrested about a half hour after the incident was reported, Rushing said.

Leggett lived in a camper trailer at the same address as the victim, but Rushing said he was not sure what the relationship was between the two men.

Douglas was rushed from King’s Daughters Medical Center to Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, where he died around 1 p.m. the next day from injuries from the assault, Rushing said.
