Alliance makes up wish list for Congress|[12/13/06]

Officials who might be able to provide funds will hear about more than 16 projects in Vicksburg and Warren County when locals make what has become an annual trek to Washington, D.C., next month.

A small group from the Vicksburg-Warren Community Alliance and the Warren County Board of Supervisors met Tuesday morning to discuss a package of proposals a 25-member delegation will take to Capitol Hill Jan. 27-31. In it are requests from private, public and government entities.

&#8220We threw everything out there,” said Wayne Mansfield, city planner for Vicksburg. &#8220I took the Alliance’s Strategic Plan and each request was put into one of the categories.”
