Rev. Donald Goodman

The Rev. Donald Goodman died Monday, Feb. 26, 2007 in Vicksburg. He was 53.

He was founder of Living Water Full Gospel Church before moving to Florida.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fannie M. Goodman and Bert Goodman; and his brother, Lottie Goodman.

He is survived by four brothers, Edward Goodman, Larry Goodman, Bert E. Goodman and the Rev. Malcolm Goodman, all of Vicksburg; four sisters, Louella Taylor of Vicksburg, Betty James of Carson, Calif., Liz Carson and Anece Goodman, both of Grand Rapids, Mich.; and aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives, including Martha and Roosevelt Goodman, Annie Mae Goodman, Lee Otis Stanford and John D. Stanford, all of Vicksburg.

Williams Funeral Service has charge of arrangements.

Myrtis L. Manning

Myrtis L. Manning died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2007, at Shady Lawn Nursing Home. She was 89.

Mrs. Manning had lived most of her life in Vicksburg and Warren County. She retired from Westinghouse Company.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, W.A. &#8220Sonny” Manning.

She is survived by nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Fisher Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon Thursday until the hour of service.

Pallbearers will be Mrs. Manning’s great-nephews.

Abraham Jesse Moore

CHICAGO – Services for Abraham Jesse Moore will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Bethleham Church of God in Christ in Port Gibson with the Rev. Earnest Wilcher officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 until 6 tonight at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Port Gibson and from 1 p.m. Thursday until the hour of service at the church.

Mr. Moore died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2007, at River Region Medical Center in Vicksburg. He was 76.

A resident of Chicago, Mr. Moore was employed with the City of Chicago as an electrician. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Coleman and Adeline Wheeler-Moore; a son, Eric Moore; and three sisters, Geraldine Turner, Myrtle Perkins and Rebecca Parker.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Hazelene Moore of Chicago; six sons, Wilfred Moore of Las Vegas, Jesse L. Moore of Phenix City, Ala., Reginald Moore of Columbus, Ga., Darren Moore and Kenneth Moore, both of Chicago, and Keith Moore of Jefferson City, Mo., six daughters, Adrienne Jones and Kimberly Moore, both of Phenix City, Margo Moore-Prytz of Cumberland, Wis., Ruth S. Tolbert and Cherilyn Doss, both of Chicago, and Michelle Moore of Blue Island, Ill.; two brothers, Coleman Moore Sr. of Waukegan, Ill., and the Rev. G.W. Moore of Port Gibson; two sisters, Julia Sipp of Oakland and Barbara Embry of Oklahoma City; and 46 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
