Christopher Wayne Jenkins

ROLLING FORK – Christopher Wayne Jenkins died Sunday, April 8, 2007, in Bradenton, Fla. He was 26.

He is survived by his father, Charles Smith Sr. of Bradenton; his mother, Sherry Macon Smith of Bradenton; and four brothers, Charles B. Smith Jr. and Anthony Macon, both of Bradenton, and Edward Smith and Charles E. Smith, both of Palm Beach, Fla.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mount Lula M.B. Church in Rolling Fork with the Rev. Quincy Washington officiating. Burial will follow at Green Chapel Cemetery in Rolling Fork.

Tracie Remone Russell

FERRIDAY, La. – Tracie Remone Russell died Monday, April 9, 2007, at her home in Ferriday, La., as a result of a gunshot wound. She was 35.

A former resident of Vicksburg, Ms. Russell was a manager at Wal-Mart in Natchez. She attended Greenwood Public Schools, Coahoma Junior College and Mississippi Valley State University. She was a member of Turner Chapel AME Church.

She is survived by her son, D’Ante Russell of Port Gibson; her mother, Gloria J. Henry of Shaker Heights, Ohio; her father, Willie Henry Jr. of Memphis; a sister, Crystal Russell of Chicago; six brothers, Earnest Russell of Chicago, Calvin Henry and Gregory Henry, both of Greenwood, Willie B. Henry Jr. of Memphis, Cedric Henry of Arlington, Ind., and Michael Henry of Bartlett, Tenn.; and her grandmother, Inez Henry of Greenwood.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Turner Chapel AME Church with the Rev. Frank Willis officiating. Burial will follow at LCMC Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Carrollton, Miss. Visitation will be from 1 until 6 tonight at Century Funeral Home in Greenwood.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ms. Russell’s brothers.
