Robert Eugene Beasley
Robert Eugene “Bob” Beasley died Thursday, May 17, 2007, at River Region Medical Center. He was 84.
A native of Douglas, Ga., he was the son of the late C.J. and Ida Beckworth Beasley. He had made his home in Vicksburg since 1942. Mr. Beasley retired from Westinghouse Corporation and Crouse-Hines Lighting Division. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, past president of Vicksburg Lions Club, district governor and director of Mississippi Lions Eye Bank and past president of the Mississippi Chapter of National Watch and Clock Collectors.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Beasley was preceded in death by his wife, Effie M. Beasley; a son, Charles Lloyd Beasley; two sisters, Vivian Barrett and Lucille Curry; and a brother, Ernest Beasley.
Mr. Beasley is survived by two daughters, Patricia Tullos of Vicksburg and Rita Lambert of Tupelo; four grandchildren, Jennifer Abdeen and Emily Embry, both of Vicksburg, Katy Agnew of Jackson and Sarah Lambert of Tupelo; two sisters, Mary B. Kicklighter of Jesup, Ga., and Elvenia Sidener of Augusta, Ga.; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 20, 2007, at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Billy Brumfield of Immanuel Baptist Church and Nelson Walley officiating. Burial will follow at Redbone Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Vera R. Keller
Vera R. Keller died Thursday, May 17, 2007, at River Region Medical Center. She was 87.
Mrs. Keller was a native of Jefferson Davis County and had spent most of her life in Vicksburg. She was retired from the U.S. Postal Service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Simeon and Lela Ross; and her husband, Howard T. Keller.
She is survived by a son, Mark A. Keller of Cochran, Ga.; and her companion, Lawrence B. Storey Jr. of Vicksburg.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Green Acres Memorial Park. Burial will follow under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home.
Visitation will be at the funeral home Monday from 9 a.m. until the service.
Pallbearers will be William E. Owens III, Bobby Kitchens, Rick Arnold, Lawrence Storey IV, Richard Moncure, Howard Muirhead, Lawrence B. Storey III and Curt Holman.
Honorary pallbearers will be Sharon and Gordon Evans, Karla Arnold, Kim Pickett, David Keller, Barbara Kitchens, and the doctors and staff of the South Ward at River Region Medical Center.
Virgil R. Neumann
TALLULAH – Services for Virgil R. Neumann will be at 1 p.m. today at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home Chapel in Tallulah with the Rev. John W. Rushing officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be today from 11 a.m. until the service.
Mr. Neumann died Wednesday, May 16, 2007, at Olive Branch Senior Care Center in Tallulah. He was 79.
Mr. Neumann was born in Webster, Minn., and had lived most of his life in Madison Parish. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a retired farmer. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by two sons, Dr. Ed Neumann and Dr. Paul Neumann, both of Baton Rouge; a daughter, Maria Bacalis of Monument, Colo.; a brother, Donald Neumann of Tallulah; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a caretaker, Ruth Hall Neumann.
Pallbearers will be Robert A. Neumann, Dr. Thomas A. Neumann, Dr. L.P. Neumann Jr., Charles L. Roberson, Leonard E. Neumann, Christopher C. Neumann, David Neumann and Perry P. Bacalis.
Margaret Williams
FAYETTE – Margaret Williams died Saturday, May 12, 2007, at Natchez Community Hospital. She was 71.
Born in Jefferson County, Mrs. Williams was a housewife and member of Crown Point United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Owen Anderson and Mary Ella Sanders.
She is survived by her husband, Cordell Williams Sr.; five sons, Cordell H. Williams Jr., Eddie Lee Williams and Charlie Williams, all of Maywood, Ill., and Anthony Williams and Dennis Williams, both of Natchez; a daughter, Annette Dawkins of Glenwood, Ill.; a stepdaughter, Dorothy Hunter of Fayette; 19 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Crown Point United Methodist Church in Fayette with the Rev. Burnell Newsome officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home.
Sarah Ann Wright
Sarah Ann Wright died Thursday, May 17, 2007, at her home. She was 68.
Born in Rolling Fork, she had been a resident of Warren County since 1965.
Mrs. Wright was the daughter of the late John T. Blackburn and Ruby Loper Blackburn. She received her degree in nursing from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in 1965 and was associated with Mercy Hospital for 22 years.
Mrs. Wright was employed with Heritage House Retirement Center for a number of years. She was retired from Waterways Experiment Station, where she was as an occupational health nurse for more than 23 years. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Norris Blackburn.
She is survived by her husband, Franklin D. Wright of Yokena; a daughter, Cathy A. Wright of Clinton; four brothers, Bill Merchant of Oklahoma City, Okla., James Blackburn of Tupelo, and Jake Blackburn and Jerry Blackburn, both of Tchula; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Riles Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. John Taylor and Oliver Ladnier and Dr. John G. McCall officiating. Burial will be at Yokena Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 until 5 p.m. Sunday at Riles Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be John Bove, Robert Wayne Greer, Garvin Sherard, Bobby Joe Fuller, Dewayne Fuller, Clarence Lanier, Bo Wright, Lum Wright Jr., Hubert Stroud and Carlton Carlisle.
Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Crow, James Burnett, Talmadge Steed, David Outzs, Dave Derrick, John Lindigrin, Jerry Haskins, Darrell Spivey, Dr. Edward Addo, Dr. Tom Sligh and Dr. Tammy Young.
