Cynthia Miller died Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007. She was 45.

Ms. Miller was a member of St. James M.B. Church.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandmother, Fannie Weatherspoon.

Survivors include her mother, Vera Reddick of Vicksburg; her father, George Scott of Pontiac, Mich.; two sisters, Donna Hall of Vicksburg and Regina Scott of Pontiac; two brothers, David Miller of Vicksburg and Darryl Scott of Pontiac; her grandmother, Eddie Lee Vaughn of Vicksburg; and nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and other relatives and friends, including Stephanie N. Ross of Memphis and Jason E. Johnson of Houston, Texas.

Williams Funeral Service has charge of arrangements.

Marvin E. Moody

Marvin E. Moody died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2007, at his home in Vicksburg. He was 73.

Born in Cleveland, Miss., Mr. Moody had been a Vicksburg resident for the past 31 years. He was a retired pipefitter for the Local 619. He was also employed by Ergon.

Mr. Moody was of the Jehovah’s Witness faith.

He was preceded in death by a wife, Dot Moody; a son, Bradley Moody; a stepson, Richard Dyer; and two brothers, Jason Moody and William Moody.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia S. Moody of Vicksburg; three sons, Stephens Moody of Richland, Bryan Moody of Flora and Terry Moody of Atlanta; four stepsons, Thomas Dyer of Cleveland, Ohio, Michael Dyer of Birkenfeldt, Germany, Stephen Dyer of Marseilles, Ill., and Timothy Dyer of Palo Alto, Calif.; three brothers, John Moody of Vicksburg, Kenneth Moody of Wilmington, Ill., and Chuck Moody of Tulsa, Okla.; four sisters, Lucille Saulters of Leland, Marie McNitt of Greenwood, Dorothy Bowers of Grenada and Betty Keeley of Elliot, Miss.; and 20 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Glenwood Funeral Home with Dale Dillinger officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Garrey Denney, Ronnie Mills, Poe Myers, David Canizaro, Bill Bagley, Marvin Saulters, John Edward Moody and Stanley Saulters.

Shirley M. Womble

Services for Shirley M. Womble were at 10 a.m. Monday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. E.L. Sharp officiating. Burial was at Green Acres Memorial Park.

Mrs. Womble died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2007, at her home. She was 66.

Mrs. Womble was born in Humphreys County. She previously lived in Indianola before moving to Vicksburg 20 years ago. Mrs. Womble worked at the MTD Company in Indianola as a tool and die inspector and was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Nancy Jones; a daughter, Missy Snow; a sister, Laura Jones; and a grandmother, Ella Smithhart.

Mrs. Womble is survived by her husband, James Womble of Vicksburg; two sons, Gary Womble and Ricky Womble, both of Vicksburg; one daughter, Pam Brumfield of Vicksburg; three brothers, Ben Jones and Jimmy Jones, both of Vicksburg, and Travis Jones of Memphis; six sisters, Helen Davis, Carolyn McDonald and Brenda Jones, all of Vicksburg, Martha Robinson of Edwards, and Diane Dent and Nella Walley, both of Purvis; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Pallbearers were Alton Jones, Todd McDonald, Bubba Fulgham, Shannon Snow, Randy Brown and Harold Watkins.

Honorary pallbearers were Ritchey Brown, Jimmy Kowitz and John Brumfield.
