Willie Steen Vaughn

Willie Steen “Steen” Vaughn died Monday, Nov. 5, 2007, at her home in Vicksburg. She was 53.

Born in Warren County, Ms. Vaughn was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Tawanda Vaughn; her parents, B.J. Calvin and Esther Ruth Vaughn; and a brother, Vernon Calvin Vaughn.

She is survived by two sons, Edward Vaughn and Robert Vaughn, both of Vicksburg; a daughter, Esther Vaughn of Vicksburg; five brothers, Roosevelt Vaughn, Leroy Vaughn, Leonard Vaughn and Issac Vaughn, all of Vicksburg, and O.D. Vaughn of Richmond, Calif.; two sisters, Nina Hardin and Sylvia Colenburg, both of Vicksburg; and 14 grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Dave Garfield Williams

Dave Garfield Williams died Monday, Nov. 5, 2007, at Promise Specialty Hospital in Vicksburg. He was 72.

Mr. Williams was a resident of Warren County.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Garfield Williams and Gertrude Williams.

He is survived by four brothers, Luther Williams of Peoria, Ariz., John Williams and Joe Williams, both of Hattiesburg, and Lee T. Dear of Chattanooga, Tenn.; and a sister, Dessie Martin of Lake Providence.
