A Madison Parish Hospital nurse died Sunday evening as a result of a single-vehicle wreck on Interstate 20 about a mile and a half west of Tallulah.
Dallas Gill, 41, of 126 Dera Drive in Monroe, was alone in his vehicle, said Assistant Chief Willie Turner of the Tallulah Police Department. He was believed to have been on his way to work, Turner added.
Gill lost control and was ejected from the pickup he was driving east along the interstate at about 7 p.m., Turner said.
Family members remembered him as “outgoing” and a “devoted sportsman.”
“He was a nice, all around young man,” said his stepfather, Robert Don Neighbors.
Gill, who had been a registered nurse for 15 years, enjoyed duck hunting and spending time with family, said his brother, Corbett Gill.
Funeral arrangements were incomplete, but will be under the direction of Golden Funeral Home in Bastrop.
