Two of three county soccer teams to make the playoffs had their seasons end on Tuesday night, while one had its game postponed until tonight.

Warren Central’s girls team fell 1-0 to Division 4-5A champion Northwest Rankin at Millsaps College. The game was moved to the artificial turf of Millsaps’ football field after heavy rain drenched the Jackson area.

Molly Beth Jourdan made 14 saves in the loss and WC’s defense held Northwest scoreless for the final 75 minutes of the game.

In the boys game, Sam Williams scored two goals, while Jake Benton and Hunter Bower each scored one to lead the Cougars (23-4) into the second round of the state playoffs.

Vicksburg’s boys team was scheduled to play at Caledonia, but that game was rescheduled for today.
