Edwards shooting death offers few leads

An investigation into the shooting death of an Edwards man Monday continued this morning with few leads, a Hinds County deputy said.

Larry Hunter, 48, 207 Williamson Ave., was found dead with gunshot wounds to the back in a pasture area off Mosley Drive, a stretch off Mount Moriah Road and just blocks outside the Edwards city limits.

Hinds County Deputy Sheriff Ed Swinney said this morning that the investigation was continuing and he asked for the public’s help in solving the case.

Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched at about 9 a.m. Monday where Hunter’s body was found. His wallet and an undisclosed amount of cash were missing.
